Position Description

An RMPM must be able to build an excellent relationship with clients and is generally responsible for select number institutional client relationships. The RMPM is an investment fanatic and has credentials and backgrounds that other professional investors respect. The RMPM has professional skills and communication abilities that instill confidence in their client relationships.

RMPM’s should maintain a strong topical knowledge of the investment landscape through ongoing professional development and continuing education.

While RMPMs at Gravity are extensively trained in our process and optimization logic and other finer points of investment excellence, we don’t expect them to be blind executioners. We want you to bring your own style and edge to our process.

The accumulated knowledge and wisdom hard earned in an investment career is a valued asset at Gravity Investments and will combine nicely with the application of our quantitative processes and optimization logic.

Taking the lead in managing client relationships and collaborating with other accomplished investors (and some less accomplished) requires high levels of professionalism and diplomacy.

Having critical business skills to help clients recruit program assets, garner referrals and assist the deal capture team with late stage prospects is also part of the job.

Research skills are always important and fill any additional time that may be available. Gravity builds software to turn research into dynamic, scalable company assets. Our RMPM (relationship manager and portfolio manager) at Gravity Investments is responsible for the management and execution, collaboration and client relationship of Gravity institutional accounts. All of Gravity’s relationships are with other investment entities, from RIA’s to banks, hedge funds, broker dealers and other platform sponsors. Gravity Investments is an industry leader in Robo-Advisory.

Skills & Experience

  • High degree of efficiency in data interpretation and a penchant for research and analysis. + indepth understanding of financial markets, economics and portfolio theory is necessary.
  • Must also be customer-focused, with a desire and ability to communicate frequently with clients.
  • Has critical business skills to help clients recruit program assets.
  • Background in financial software or financial planning / investments is a plus.
  • Ability to work in an extremely dynamic growth environment.

Education

  • At least an undergraduate degree in business, economics or finance.
  • Masters preferred. CFA a real plus.
